The Owner

In 1977, Sharon Spence, a native Oregonian, purchased her first business, a restaurant. After making a success of that restaurant, she purchased a bakery and continued to operate both. The businesses were very labor intensive and required the use of a great many cleaning products. It was through this experience that she gained her understanding of the problems business owners face with the chemicals commonly used today.

As with most business owners, her biggest concern was with finding ways to reduce the high cost of doing business. She found United Scientific's MP 1000 - an inexpensive, safe, and effective alternative to the chemicals that were available through traditional wholesale suppliers.

In 1983, Spence decided to become involved with the distribution of MP 1000.
